Divination of The Moment: don’t squash the bugs!

The Hedge Witch Oracle - Ka Pe'elua, The Caterpillar - The Hawaiian Oracle

Our Divination of the moment I drew from The Hawaiian Oracle deck. I fanned the cards from left to right and drew a single card with my left hand signaling it’s origin from the right hemisphere or intuitive seat of the brain. Ka Pe’elua or The Caterpillar was the aumakua or spirit guide selected.

In Ancient Hawai’iKa Pe’elua would feast on the leaves of the ‘Uala or the Hawaiian Sweet Potato. This food staple was crucial to sustaining the Hawaiian population in health and prosperity.  Ancient Hawaiians respected and understood  the natural order of the Universe and did not seek to oppose the Pe’elua by killing it but rather they fostered conditions mutually beneficial by creating an area where the Pe’elua could feed on discarded ‘Uala leaves after removing the caterpillar from the plant.  A supplication asked of the creature requested that it leave the tubers for human consumption in exchange for the delicious leaves, hoping that both species could be supported in life by the ‘Uala, in peaceful coexistence.

Pe’elua’s wisdom speaks to us about creating boundaries on a spiritual level, preventing ourselves from crossing into the realm of retaliation and revenge based on fear of lack, but instead seeking an outcome where there are no losers but winners on both sides. We must find balance in our understanding of perceived threats instead of moving automatically into opposition, squashing what we fear with a heavy hand of vengeful resistance. When we react with destructive fear, spurned on by our entitlements, we create an atmosphere ripe for suffering that ripples out into our environment only to return to us with devastating effects. The results compromise happiness and the natural order of the universe; potentially leading to more conflicts with unimaginable collateral costs.

In Western civilization the solution typically sought to preclude predators from competing for a limited resource calls for destroying the perceived threat. Multinational GMO corporations reap enormous profits from the sale of their patented genetically modified seed crops along with the highly toxic cocktail of proprietary chemicals required to sustain their seeds through maturation by the across the board killing of insects and weeds.

Wholesale destruction of weeds and insects  perceived to threaten food commodities is result of greed and it’s derivative, fear. It’s effects are causing collateral health issues for those Human Beings who digest the GMO products and the exposure to the chemicals needed to cultivate them, as well as, the insects and natural pollinators devastated by the proprietary pesticides. The evolving weeds develop resistance to these contrived chemical killers, compromising their effectiveness, resulting in more and more experimental and untested pesticides being introduced into fragile eco-systems all in the name of furthering profits and purportedly the “progress” of science. Where does it end, this relentless march toward the fruitless domination of nature by the human ego? The Science that perceives the human condition as independent of nature is not science but suicide.

Whether we talk about the conflicts in the middle east; the justification for and the production of genetically modified organisms; or the politicians willing to up-end a fragile economy to get their way without compromise; the wisdom of Ka Pe’elua is clear. Find the common ground first and work for mutually beneficial outcomes that sustain life for all not just the the diabolical ego’s of the powerful.

Midsummer Night’s Sanity

Kahina Mahealani

With the Summer Season half way through its course, the importance of grounding and pacing oneself to go the distance must not be over looked. Before you know it, Summer’s ephemeral beauty will be but a faded souvenir pressed in the dusty tomes of our memories; and only if we should be so lucky. Now, is the time to connect to the Earth and draw its energy up and into ones person; negating that caffeinated busy buzzy body that has been compensating for the effects of the previous evenings overindulgence. Take note the Trickster God Loki is offering you some divine advice, are you paying attention? In celebration of the Midsummer Full Moon I have cast a single Rune and a single stone.
The Hedge Witch Oracle

Description: Ansuz the Rune of the Divine Messenger is associated with the Norse God Loki symbolizing a message of Divine importance, calling for us to open our ears and hearts to receive the message of the Black Stone, Onyx. Expect this message to be a hokulele against the moonlit dome of the heavens. It requires alert attentiveness for you may or may not notice it against the expanse of cosmic noise, however, it’s message is clear. GET GROUNDED and keep your HEAD CLEAR.

Revelation: Do not waste the remaining days of summer. Time does not wait for mortal man to wake from his insobriety, and time is fleeting. Take advantage of the now and prepare for what awaits. The Onyx tells us to ground ourselves and integrate. There is much confusion and disinformation being disseminated throughout the world and it is important to have balance and clarity in one’s decision-making as more gloomy uncertainty lies ahead. Do not be overly influenced by anything, especially your usual emotional buttons and their complimentary intoxicants. Be present, agreeable, and helpful; your efficiency will help carry you through the inane insanity that Autumn’s portent will bring so be prepared. Carry a piece of Onyx or a black stone in your pocket when you are at work and think efficiency and integration. Imagine energy flowing out from the stone integrating and maximizing the various energies around you, harmoniously and calmly. When moods and actions get flighty and or over-heated place the stone on your desktop and drop anchor. Feel the grounding energies pull everything back to Earth, cool and collective.

Peace & Blessings

What is a Hedge Witch?

The Hedge Witch Oracle

providing quality divination and tarot card readings

The Hedge Witch has risen dramatically in the locus of popular culture over the past few years as interest in Pagan traditions and magical Wood-Block-Witchfolklore has exponentially expanded. This is due in part to legal protections and the popularity of Wicca as a Neo-Pagan religion and the folklore inspired writings of authors like JK Rowling and Wiccan Hedge Witch Rae Beth. What is a Hedge Witch you may ask? And, what ‘s the difference between a Hedge Witch and a run of the mill witch?

First, witches like faery princesses, and dragons exist in our imagination and fantasy entertainments but witches also occupy the world of oblique reality and to this day are being brutally murdered in more bigoted parts of the Earth. It is important to acknowledge that witches are an ancient primal archetype possessing the ability to strike fear in cultures world-wide just like the Dragon, Giants, and Naga. Second, a “run of the mill witch” or typical witch simply does not exist as they vary between cultures, secular and religious practitioners including Wiccan, Thelemic and other New Age and Neo-Pagan Religions. Some practice in groups or covens; others prefer solitary pursuits. A few are exclusively identified with one sex; some are white, some are black some are green; some are known as Kitchen Witches and others as Warlocks.

The term Hedge Witch originated in reality and originates from the old English Haegtesse or Hedge Rider.  A Hedge Rider or Witch is solitary practitioner of the natural healing arts and naturopathic-magic, but may work with others of their kind on rare occasions. Hedge Witches are also known as Traditional or Natural Witches and their skill sets and services depend on the person; often combining elements of divination, herbal healing and natural magic. Some practitioners claim it as the evolved art of the Cunning Folk, while others say that its’ practice is more a nature based neo-pagan religion like Wicca, which in my opinion is rather myopic and akin to saying Walt Disney invented the fairy tale. However, the histrionics of the Traditional Witch extends beyond just folklore and has ancient roots extending back to the biblical Witch of Endor and even further still in the esoteric histories of Egypt and Mesopotamia.

It is commonly believed that Hedge Witches are found world-wide. Traditionally known as the Village Witch, Witch Doctor, Kahuna La’au Lapa’au, Shaman, Wise or Cunning Woman or Man, this often misunderstood sometimes fringe member of the community consulted on any number of herbal cures, natural and supernatural remedies of spirit, mind, and body. The Hedge Witch assuaged matters of the heart often acting as a therapist, meta-physician, fertility, and virility  specialist. The Hedge, once signified the outermost boundary of ancient villages, fields, and large estates. This boundary represented metaphysically the border between the world of the living and the nether-world of spiritual beings. Practitioners of this type of The Witch of Endornaturopathic-magic were often called Hedge Witches, not only because they lived in or just beyond the hedge or forest but because they were also believed to commune with spirits, as well as, affect the living with the use of natural magic and herbal remedies found in the “hedge”.

I was raised “On the Hedge” so to speak as the cultural differences between my parents where seemingly insurmountable  and at times contradictory. As Intuitive consultant I identify with the Hedge Witch Archetype and draw upon both my Hawaiian healing intuitions of the Kahuna La’au Lapa’au and the hereditary Hola’e which stems from my maternal line going back 20 generations to the Kahuna Nui Pa’ao and my many years of study of western esoterica and the observations of my step-mother(of Eastern European heritage) and her powerful intuitive elucidations which both terrified and fascinated me. For hundreds of years through my paternal line our family maintained a famous well which was widely used for healing, divination, and potent wish making in the South West of England. All this says is that herbal and spiritual healing have ancient roots in my psyche and my genetic structure and Hedge Craft harnesses the mind to heal, as I understand it. As a Tarot Card consultant I utilize my understandings of these healing modalities to aid people in finding clarity and understanding in the face of their difficulties. I believe the power of the mind can create miraculous healing if properly coaxed and that overwrought thinking and stress can cause illness if left unchecked. Rune: Wunjo

Wunjo & Kukui

Let the light in and experience joy, Wunjo is the Rune that signifies the emerging psyche from the darkness into the light, allowing for restoration and rejuvenation of the spirit, mind, and body. So pull back those heavy drapes of excessive thinking and let the light in! In Hawaiian tradition the Kukui or Candle Nut  metaphysically and literally means light, as the oil from the Kukui fueled the ubiquitous tiki torches that illuminated the inevitable darkness of the Polynesian night, dispelling fears of the unknown.

We often allow the darkness of negative thinking to oppress and dominate our thoughts through the judging and condemning of ourselves and others. When we “lighten” up we pull the heavy rocks or negative thoughts that block the light of our love from shinning up and out from the vessel that holds our spiritual light and soul.  In Hawaii when we offer a Kukui Lei (garland of  Kukui nuts) with Aloha to guests and loved ones, it recognizes the Divine Light and love we share as children of God.

Insensitivity to other belief systems is an endemic plague undermining the fabric of every society. Lightening up your beliefs and you might realize that politics is a costly game that one need not play in order to find happiness.

If you haven’t received your daily dose of Vitamin D try spending a little time enjoying the sunlight on your face. Smile, because you are precisely in the right place, at the right time, right now! -Hawaii Tarot Card of the Day

Ten of Cups

Find and relish the joy brought by family and friends today. Joy comes from the belief that love and friendship are what makes the world go round and palatable.

Today is a day for being happy and happiness is a choice. Security is an illusion but feeling secure in the love of others is a gift to enjoy, so what’s stopping you, have fun and be joyful, no one else can do that for you.

You are responsible for the happiness in your life so participate and choose to be thankful than choose to be happy, even in the face of despair.

The dividends are paid in laughs, smiles, hugs, and kisses. You are certainly rich beyond measure if you share these ephemeral delights!

The Oracle of Tibetan Buddhism

The Dalai Lama actively consults the Nechung or the Tibetan Buddhist Oracle.

For hundreds of years now, it has been traditional for the Dalai Lama, and the Government, to consult Nechung during the New Year festivals. In addition, he might well be called upon at other times if either have specific queries. I myself have dealings with him several times a year This may sound far-fetched to twentieth-century western readers. Even some Tibetans, mostly those who consider themselves ’progressive’, have misgivings about my continued use of this ancient method of intelligence gathering. -The Dalai Lama

Tarot Card of The Day: The Six of Cups

Tarot Card of The Day: The Six of Cups

Expect a special gift this month from one without ulterior motive. This card represents the beauty  and innocence of children and the love expressed through giving. The real challenge is being willing to receive graciously. Sometimes we feel we must sacrifice in order that others may receive but in the divine order of the universe giving and receiving is a two way street. If you refuse to receive out of self deprivation and sacrifice you are in essence putting a damn in place of the cosmic flow and the divine provenance and prosperity simply flows around and past you. Don’t kick the gift horse in the mouth because you feel others are more deserving. When the universe wishes to bestow a gift upon you, accept it with thanks, don’t second guess it and avoid any guilt that might arise from acquiescing to the gift that is The Six of Cups. Prosperity is a state of mind first and if you refuse to accept the abundance that is offered you are essentially undermining yourself in a powerful and financially debilitating fashion. If your feeling unworthy that is the ego talking, keeping you in a state of servitude to it’s fearful reactionary world of doubt and powerlessness. There are always opportunities to give, but this case is not one of them, your function here is to be the divine chalice or bowl and receive what is being freely given in love. Allow the light of love to brighten your vessel; fill it up with the joy of being and you will be participating perfectly in the Divine will.

Enveloped in the safety of  a well fortified but quaint village, an older child gives a chalice of flowers to a younger child displaying the love and affection of innocence and youth.  The Six of Cups offers us a glimpse at the beauty of childhood and the purity  of un-jaded intentions. Embrace this innocence that we once embodied and share it with others. Give and receive love without conditions and revel in the intent of the child like purity represented by the lilies in the chalice. Heaven on Earth begins in this moment of exchange; love in it’s purest state heals all, reveals all, helps all. All that is necessary for you to do is to reach out and accept it; that which you truly deserve, the divine love.

A Rune Forecast for October:

A Rune Forecast for October:

Sometimes an education that is forced upon us like a shot of castor oil will bristle the back hairs with vehement resistance but in the end we usually are happier and healthier for it; as knowledge leads to wisdom.

Chin up! Life is not lived through television, facebook, and twitter. Life is always lived in the moment so take stock and be thankful for what you have; be conscious of all you think, say, and do; be open to the Truth, as you are a child of GOD worthy of love, wisdom, and happiness. Regarding the Law of Cause and Effect, When we strive for perfecting the cause we fertilize perfect effects.

Kano- (Reversed)
The gloomy pall of the last months “sturm und drang” will now begin to dissipate as we emotionally move into the fall season. The pang of nostalgia for sunnier days past, cast a disappointing gloom for us last month as the torch of hope,  was dumped into a bucket of doubt punctuated by the World Trade Organization’s wry comment that the various governments should be good and ready to have the general population bashed  in the financial testes yet again, which was code for “if you haven’t stocked up on tear gas and rubber bullets, you have only yourself to blame.”

Now is the time of emergence  from this haze of doom and gloom; now is the time to inform the mind on what is actually happening in front of our faces and behind closed doors both in our government and corporate boardrooms; now is the moment to achieve clarity on who actually represents our collective best interests? Clear away your old illusions and take responsibility for your own education on what our US currency is based on in the 21st century.

Be prepared for a big punch in the gut but don’t despair as it is all happening for your ultimate betterment and benefit, though it won’t seem that way at the time. When we find ourselves stuck in a detrimental belief system that is patently false we sometimes don’t want to know how much nonsense we have put ourselves through because we didn’t read between the lines and kept expecting politicians to be honest, CEO’s to be ethical, and bankers to be human beings.

In a nutshell, find out for yourself how money is made in  this country and the industrialized world, if you think you learned it in school you didn’t. Learn what our world  currencies are actually based on (it was worth something tangible 40 years ago), you’d be surprised to know what those dollars sitting in your wallet are actually worth. Here’s a hint money=debt. Understand credit and it’s issuance and how our financial markets are controlled by those who control credit.  Augment your spending habits by supporting your local economy and neighbors. Stop buying products that don’t represent your personal values, exploit others, or harms your health and livelihood. Once you start your journey down the rabbit hole, don’t give up you’ll be glad you didn’t.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Five of Pentacles

Tarot Card of the Day: The Five of Pentacles-
This months Card of the Day begs us to wrap our minds around the bone chilling fear of lack and destitution. Beware, for what we think about we bring about. The feeling of trudging through life’s difficulties without our material securities is not only mind numbing and depressing it can freeze the brain into thinking it is in a perpetual state of lack. Impoverishment starts as a niggling thought, a what if. One fluttering thought followed by another. Our fears, left unchecked will develop into a flurry of negative thinking until at last we stumble into the harrowing storm of emotional distress, bereft of hope and destitute. The Five of Pentacles takes the uncertainty associated with the number five and attaches it to the materialism of the pentacle suit. When we engage in feelings of lack we turn the course of our lives in the very direction we are fearing the most. The Five of Pentacles asks that if you’re feeling the pinch of the penny pincher stop and take stock, not of what you don’t have, but of what you should be thankful for. Living an abundant life, like happiness is a choice. Sometimes the appearance of lack is very convincing, painful and wrought with suffering. However, if you change your mind about the experience there is always a golden nugget of truth, that if we choose to seek it, will grant us recompense from the blustery chill of our own negativity.
Two beggars representing disabled thinking and destitution struggle through the accumulation of their negativity. Behind them shines the splendor of the divine light through a stain glass representation of the Tree of Life. If only these two lonely souls would change their perspective 180 degrees they would find the warmth and shelter they seek from their seemingly desperate situation. When we face the dark night of the soul and recognize that we have nothing to loose we only have ourselves to gain.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Seven of Pentacles

Tarot Card of the Day: The Seven of Pentacles:

As we prepare to reap what we have sown, and collect the object of our labors the opportunity to examine our true intentions and our current situation is at hand. The Seven of Pentacles reveals to us that through hard work and determination we can nurture our thoughts into material fruit, however, in the moment we are not quite ready to collect the harvest as our labors have not fully ripened. It is often in this moment of re-evaluation that our true intent becomes realized and the pesky pests that lie in our past attachments emerge from the subconscious to gnaw on our potential. Fear of success, is a vague and elusive rat. To the unrealized mind this is the moment when things mysteriously begin to fall apart, right before the harvest, when our burgeoning ideas and self-confidence begins to falter and the weeds of doubt and the vermin of fear destroy our co-creative efforts. Onipa’a, be steadfast for the harvest is at hand!  The Seven of Pentacles asks us to stop and pause to re-examine your reasons for working so hard and whether it’s the path you truly should be following. Re-affirm your commitment to your own happiness and take the next step as the pay off is right around the corner. Be weary of letting your fears stop you from receiving what you have worked so hard to achieve.

Leaning upon his hoe, a farmer pauses to regard his efforts which are flowering abundantly on the vine, soon the flowers or The Seven Pentacles will transform into fruit and the time of reaping will begin. To the Ancient Hawaiians the vine growing Ipu was tended to with great care and skill. Flies and maggots would often overwhelm the blossoms impeding pollination and the slightest jostling or bruising of the young gourds would cause the fruit to rot. The vigilant gardener keeps the pests at bay so that verdant ideas may bear fruit.

Tarot Card of the Day: The King of Cups

Tarot Card of the Day: The King of Cups

Also known as The King of Hearts; this male archetype will rule the month with thoughtful consideration and random acts of kindness. Like Saint Valentine and Good King Wenceslas, The King of Cups is generous, responsible, and compassionate. An avid patron of the arts and sciences; this learned individual is often occupied by spiritual pursuits, justice, or business’ with a developed sense social responsibility. Often displaying a serene state of being, the interior mind of The King of Cups  is often quite the opposite as he is considered the most emotional of all the male archetypes in the Tarot. And with the unexpected power of a rogue wave, the King can burst into a deluge of destruction; devastating  those he deems wicked, ungracious, or rude.

The King of Cups sits on his stately throne in the midst of a turbulent sea, a symbol of the subconscious mind. Behind him a dolphin breaches the surface of the water indicative of  a furtive, active thinker, with a curiosity for the natural world and social awareness. Over his left shoulder An anchored ship pitches and rolls revealing the struggle that his right brain experiences while trying to stay even keeled in his emotional world. The King holds a Lotus scepter, symbolic of his grasp on spirituality and his openness and connection to the divine spirit. He also wears a golden fish around his neck connecting him to the water signs of the Zodiac, specifically Pieces and in his Right hand he holds a golden chalice, The Holy Grail, the vessel of the Christ consciousness representative of the love, compassionate and emotional nature of The Suit of Cups.

Tarot Card of The Day: Wheel of Fortune

Tarot Card of The Day: Wheel of Fortune

Fate versus Destiny; what’s the difference? Do we have control over our lives or are we just holding on to the wheel?  Does free will exist? The Wheel of Fortune is both a transporting device and a mode of torture. It can deliver great success in one moment and dispatch that success in the next. This contraption of opposites both intrigues and horrifies us; instilling within our collective psyche the urge to engage life as if it were an arbitrary game of chance. This notion begs the question, is life really a collection of random circumstances or is there something more to it? The Tarot knows the answer and it’s mystery is revealed through the synchronisation of events that surround our often myopic perceptions of reality. In other words, the more we pay attention to the choices we make and the reasons for why we make those choices the better we understand the boons and busts of our seemingly arbitrary experiences. When we truly understand the Law of Cause and Effect, we realize the importance of taking accountability for ALL of our thoughts, words, and actions. Every nuance no matter how seemingly insignificant resonates out into the universe eventually echoing back to us for better or for worse. If you feel like your stuck in and endless cycle of ups and downs ask yourself, how am I contributing to my Karmic reality?

The Sphinx, with her secret, presides over The Wheel of Fortune. The Wheel as it turns counter-clockwise propels its riders up and then down into perpetuity or so it would seem. Does the Sphinx hold the riddle to the mystery? Is there a way off the Wheel? The four permanent signs of the Zodiac  in conjunction with the four Gospels sit as sentinels on the four corners of the card leaving the seeker to consider that perhaps the answer is right in front of us.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Three of Wands

Tarot Card of the Day: The Three of Wands

Without risk there is no reward, even in times of financial chaos and confusion opportunity abounds. It is precisely in these uncertain times that the greatest opportunity for success exists and nothing prevents the senses from detecting opportunity than unmitigated fear. The Three of Wands invites us to over come our thoughts of lack so that we may open the mind to unlimited potential. Poverty is a state of mind first that creates a state of being. Stop listening to the chatter of fear that is so artfully manipulated by pundits and television personalities. Stop sniveling and shivering in your boots and move from a state of petrified inaction to one of positive empowering action; prosperity and abundance is your divine birth right, not something the government or banks bestow upon you. You are NOT your credit rating you are a divine child of the Universe deserving of Gods unlimited abundance. Expect commerce to flourish this week and  coöperation with one’s business associates will pay dividends.

With The Three of Wands we find standing upon the hill of higher consciousness, the Merchant. He intently watches as his ships; laden with the bounty of his co-creative efforts with God, return across the waters of the subconscious. Grasping firmly in his right hand the Merchant supports his role as co creator with the unquestionable belief in his creative energies and abilities represented in the suit of wands. Being in a state of unlimited abundance requires our firm belief in ourselves and The Divine Will, ensuring us that God’s Love includes unlimited supply. Believe!

Tarot Card of the Day: The Star

Tarot Card of the Day: The Star
To the ancients there was nothing more profound and mysterious than the great expanse of the night sky; with it’s countless glittering diamonds. The beacon that is Na Hokulea or Arcturus glimmers with heavenly potential.  Nothing is more inspiring than the shinning star rising on the horizon guiding travelers to a destination they never left, home in the bosom of God. The carbuncle of Hope rises large in your house today, a most fortuitous sign of good health and divine inspiration to come. As the three Zoroastrians Balthazar, Meclhior, and Jaspar followed The Star rising bright in the West, so should you. Hope has arrived and good things abound, rejoice! The Star is Love’s herald and radiates the powerful cosmic energy of the number eight; showering it down upon you in resplendant healing light. Share a hug and feel the love for courage, succor, and adoration have arrived with gifts of gold, mur and frankincense. You are truly blessed, shine on you crazy diamond and meditate on what it means to be a divine child of God!
Eight stars with eight points shine down upon The Water Bearer. One foot upon the land of solid reason and one upon the water of the subconscious, the maiden pours with equanimity from the cups of life and love. The later she pours upon the waters of her mind rippling through the subconscious. The former, is poured upon the earth into the five rivulets; informing the senses. In the distance, upon the primordial mound to which the breath of life was given to the Adam, stands the Tree of Life. Perched high in it’s canopy sits the sacred Scarlet Ibis. Our beloved Thoth Giver of Knowledge; Hermes the Messenger of the God’s.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Fool

Tarot Card of the Day: The Fool

There is nothing more refreshing then starting your day with a bright open mind; ripe for opportunity and new beginnings.  A choice is being offered to you today and with that comes the awesome responsibility of making the right decision. The Fool has no limitations outside of his own thinking and as such the opportunities are endless but be weary that the precipice of self doubt lays dangerously close and may need some thoughtful negotiation should your mind stray from it’s intended path.  Ask yourself  are you choosing Love or Fear?

A finely attired fop of a youth known as The Fool strides boldly into the field of action, his head turned upward with the nourishing rays of God’s loving intent at his back. Holding a white rose of pure intention his goal is a lofty one. Across his shoulder he carries in his sack, the four elements of co-creation, indicating that he holds all the tools he will need for self-realization and success while on his sojourn to the self. At his feet is his loving prancing companion, loyal to his cause, and equally oblivious to limited thinking; a reminder of God’s unconditional love.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Five of Swords

Tarot Card of the Day: The Five of Swords

Watch out for those who hold deception on their lips with wicked intent in their eyes. Ill-gotten gains, deceit, and general chicanery are caused by those who choose fear over love. The persuasive Specter of Lack will whisper desperate thoughts to those who lack the will to choose love; don’t be one of them today. You may get what you covet but at what price? Focus on the abundance given to you by the Divine and don’t buy the processed and packaged “there’s only so much to go around…”! frozen dinner. When you have Love what more do you really need.

The hectic sky of  The Five of Swords echoes the hoarding and gloating thoughts of a mind separate from God. How much is really enough? When you materialize your existence your possessions posses you. Instead of closing the deal with a coupe de gras, why not focus on the closing gift with an equal measure of gratitude.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Queen of Swords

Tarot Card of the Day: The Queen of Swords
With serene authority the Queen of the Thrones of Air gives benediction over her subjects and rules with the Sword, which pierce’s matter and informs the mind. A woman of skilled accomplishment, The Queen of Swords holds her own in a mans world. Acute preceptiveness, reinforced with intuition and steely nerves she is both fair and honorable. She has the power of command over both the masculine and feminine and will not hesitate to dispatch those who step on her shadow with ill intent. She has experienced great loss and sorrow and wears her tragedy like armor. Not surprisingly her tongue and witt can cut both ways and her temper is legendary as is her Dark Side. The Queen’s presence this next week will be as wise counsel either given or received but be gracious for she has no patience for dolts and laggards.
A single hawk soars high on the columns of rising hot air as cumulonimbus clouds billow up from the horizon. The notorious Queen of Spades is never too far from stormy weather but she enjoys her rule whole heartedly despite the appearance of severity. Her mantel reflects her natural element, Air and her crown is of golden butterflies symbols of alchemical transformation.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Hanged Man

Tarot Card of the Day: The Hanged Man
At first glance The Hanged Man’s predicament seems overwhelming and hopeless but on closer inspection the truth reveals itself. Surrendering to the Divine will is often an act filled with trepidation and anxiety as the ego loathes to relinquish its false belief in duality. When we relinquish the ego’s desire to control we free ourselves from the illusions of pain, suffering, conflict, disease, and mental slavery. The Hanged Man offers us a chance to look beyond the conditions of fear to find solace in a higher wisdom. Even in the apparent face of danger and death the hanged man is serene and contemplative, unshaken in his knowledge of the Divine and his own divinity.
A man hangs prone, upside down, from the living wood of the Tree of Life. With his arms bound behind his back he hangs helpless but empowered with Divine knowledge of his true self. The nimbus around his head acknowledges his co-creator status and his face offers us a glimpse of the tranquility found in the gift of self-realization.

Tarot Card of the Day:The Knight of Swords-

Tarot Card of the Day:
The Knight of Swords
Today’s tarot card of the day was drawn for the president of the united states, Mr. Barack Obama on the gulf oil spill.
Courage and swift determination is in order today for  a tempest is brewing and the smell of death permeates the air. Courage is needed, to fend against the carnage and mounting sense of loss and fear. We are at war with our own addictions and must quickly evaluate and take a course of action. The Knight of Swords faces The Law of Cause and Effect who has entered the fray with ferocious intent; seeking to pit fear and lack against any viable solution. Swift determination, like a sword, must slice through the devastating effects of time, confusion, and corruption and deliver the field to the victor for your political future and country depend upon it. Tyranny, will be your detractors call but  the tyranny of ignorance  is what must be defeated.
A strong-willed, head strong warrior rushes into the field of battle against a petulant ill wind. The cypress trees strain against the buffeting angry sky as birds of prey circle high above the victims of battle. The knight holds aloft his sword and moves with a sense of purpose and destiny.
Tarot Card of the Day:The Knight of Swords-

Tarot Card of the Day: The Four of Pentacles-

Tarot Card of the Day: The Four of Pentacles-
Material things in a material world, are YOU a material girl? Why is it that so many public figures fall prey to the lures of materialism. Take Eliot Spitzer for example a promising career flushed down the toilet all because he had too much PMS (Power & Money and Sex)? The unholy trinity of American political motivation is the topic of today’s reading. The Four of Pentacles combines the foundation of the number four with the material success of the pentacle suit. Watch out for coveting desires as the Material Girl maybe grounded in greed. Loosen up those purse strings and be generous, donate, and tithe. It may appear that there is only so much prosperity to go around these days but that’s just fear talking. Be thankful not miserly and on that note there may be money coming your way in the form of an inheritance or unexpected bonus.
The Miser grasps tightly onto his worldly wealth but to what end? All his energy is extended to hold on to what he has, leaving no time to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Happiness is not measured in material possessions but in the quality of your experiences. Avoid being possessed by your possessions and unhealthy desires.
